COGS & LGHS United to Investigate the 'Twin City Opera House', December 13th, 2008
On December 13th, 2008, We had the good pleasure of having Keith Age and some of the Team Members of the Louisville Ghost Hunters Society - LGHS, join us on this Investigation. We had a Great time, Keith also brought the Ovilus 1, and the Puck and showed us how they Operate, as well as let us play with them to get an idea of how they work.
Never having done an Investigation of the Opera House before during the Cold Months, We had NO idea that when the furnace would fire up, that it would be so loud in the basement area, one time when it kicked on, it seemed to run for an overly amount of time, and that jeopordized some of our possible EVP's that we caught.
During one of our questionings of Everett Miller in the basement, the question was asked 'Can You Make a Noise', he responded to the question with a reply of 'Yes I Can', Now during this time, one of my Team Members said that he had heard a Growl, So, I had asked if whatever had Growled could Growl again, and then we heard a loud bang, So, apparently Everett was responding to the Question about making the Noise, and this was during a time when the furnace was running, and Unfortunatly I am NOT able to clean the Sound file well enough to get a clear EVP.
The basement of the Opera House is still the Hottest location in the building as far as activity, We were getting K11 Meter responces again to some of the questions as they were being answered, Noises were being heard as if something was stirring about, and Growling sounds were heard,
Keith and his Team were great, and we felt honored to have them come all the way from Kentucky to spend a wonderful time with us, I believe that anyone in the Paranormal Community knows who Keith is, He Hosted - (Spooked - The Ghosts of Waverly Hills Sanatorium), and (Children of the Grave), and their Newest release of (The Possessed), Coming out in January 2009, for which I can't wait, Keith, We loved having you and your Team, and a much thanks from all of us of COGS.

Twin City Opera House - McConnelsville

Cummings House - Private Residence
Our Team was notified of this House as having Poltergeist type activity by the one time occupants of the home, they would here footsteps on the stairway, a door leading to the master bedroom was being shaken with alot of force, a tall dark shadow man was standing over the bed of the young girl at the top of a one time stairway that had been closed off, there was what sounded as if someone was going through dresser drawers as if looking for something, this room was now a workshop, and there were no drawers to open and close in that room.
Others would hear these noises while visiting and would question as to what was going on, the home occupants would say that it was just their resident ghost, and at first they thought that it was kind of neat, but that changed after awhile when the resident ghost did not want them in the Home any longer, and started doing things with more aggresion.
They were also experiencing strange events in their Barn, things such as feelings as that of being watched, to their Horse being spooked and not wanting in the Barn.
So, on the night of November 22, 2008, we went to Investigate these occurances to
see if we could get an idea of what they were going through.
The Owner said that the last time they had something happen that it made her mad and that she ordered it out of their house.
We believe that she was successful, we did not get anything in the house, but we did get something in the Barn, Photo's, and EVP's.
The owner wanted a cleansing, so, our Team Demonologist scheduled a cleansing ceremony to rid the homes and barn of any unwelcome spirits that may be occupying these dwellings on December 19th, 2008.
We informed the owner that if she had any more problems to be sure to notify us.
One of our Team Members brought this beautiful old Church to our attention, supposedly when they would set some of the Candles out for the Services, the Candles were reported to move from where they were placed.
We were free that weekend, so, we told them to go ahead and set up the schedule.
So, on June 28th, 2008 we went in to do an Investigation, we set up our gear, and because of the size of this building, we only needed five Team Members and could have really done it with less.
There is a Room off to the left as you enter the Church, the Santuary straight ahead.
Once in the Santuary as you move towards the Pulpit, turn left and there is the Fellowship Hall and two bathrooms, and then a landing to the side door with a set of steps to the basement.
We handled this case as we would handle any other case, going in seeking what might be causing the Candles to get moved in this case, we had our Video Camera's as well as Digital Recorders set around in varius locations, as well as the ones that we would carry with us, also taking lots of Photo's.
We stayed there for several hours, and then we called it a night, went through the evidence and came up empty, No Photo's, EVP's, or Video's.
We have gone back since then, the Church was kind enough to allow us to have a Training Meeting in their Fellowship Hall, and we made a Training Video on our different types of Equipment, what they are used for, and the proper Use of them.
Every now and then, when we are slow, it is good to schedule a Meeting with the Members and do an Investigation if for no other reason, to train some of our newest Members the proper procedures that we use as well as to Train them on Equipment.

Mt. Carmel Church - Clearport Rd.

McKean Home - Private Residence
While at work, I had recieved an E-Mail from our 'Web Site form' about if you 'Think you May be Haunted?', So, I read the Comments that were placed in the form, and I forwarded it Eric Glosser, Our Team Director, and informed him that he should get ahold of her.
After making contact with Libby, She sent a few Photo's taken from her home along with some EVP's that she had recorded. She had a couple of Photo's that captured Faces in them, and she would actually try to communicate with them and record them on her recorder, from what Rodney, her fiance informed us of, Libby's whole personality had changed since moving into this house, also Libby is a Ghost Hunters Fan, and tried to learn some of their techniques, which should be left to the Investigators who have the training and knowledge of what they may be dealing with.
I realize that if there is a spirit in the home that some think it is cool, but, after the spirit wins your trust, sometimes they begin to show their real colors, and become aggresive, so don't entertain these things. Libby was actually phsically pushed to the floor in her kitchen and finally realized that she needed some help.
So on August 2, 2008, we Investigated this home, and after going through the Evidence, we found that she was defininately haunted!
We heard foot steps in front of our Stationary Cam, and the Camera's External IR Illuminator was flickering eradically from the Interference that this entity was giving off, as well as EVP's answering direct questions, and alot of Strange Photo's and Growling Sounds.
We Scheduled a Cleansing Ceremony performed by our Team Demonologist Rev. Mike McQuaide at Libby and Rodney's request, and informed them, not to entertain these spirits again.
We heard about this Cemetery from a group while at Moonville Tunnel as they gave us the interesting details of an experience that they had while simply walking through the Cemetery one night at around 2:00am.
They gave us an E-Mail address to contact them to set up an Investigation, it sounded like an interesting story, so we decided to check it out.
So on June 21, 2008, we met up at the Ridgewood Cemetery and Video Taped an Interview with the two Boys that witnessed the occurance, they claimed that while walking through the Cemetery which was a short cut to their destination, they noticed a
woman walking her dog in the Cemetery, at first they did'nt think anything about it, but when they turned to look again, this woman was coming towards them and not going around headstones, but rather as if she was going through them, they became scared and started running and looking back to see where she was while still running.
The two boys claimed that the woman transformed into a great ball of light and was still in pursuit of them, they also said they ran out of the Cemetery and half way down the street before they looked again, and she was no longer there.
We ended up Investigating this Site until around 3:00am and called it a night, we did not capture anything on Video, Photo's, but did capture a couple of EVP's as well as a couple of strange occurances, I had asked a question trying to get a responce, I asked if they could pose for a Picture and the EVP said 'Come On' while I was still asking the question.
Another Team Member had his Camcorder shut off on him in a certain location in the Cemetery, and if he moved from that location the Camcorder would come back on, this happened twice in the same area!, He also picked up an EVP that was the strangest sound that I have heard to date, it said 'Wa Wa'. it's on our site!
