Rules & Guidelines
- We always arrive to the Investigation site in the COGS Team attire, it shows that You are part of the Team.
- We always behave in a Professional manner with the Clients concerns at heart.
- We NEVER run during an Investigation, if you feel the need to leave the Investigation area, inform your partner, and both walk out casually, it's not what you may see or feel that will harm you, rather what you may fall over or into that will bring you harm, also the fear that you may bring to the Client.
- We always Investigate in pairs of 2 or more, NEVER wander off alone.
- We NEVER Drink alcoholic beverages before or during an Investigation, If you feel the need to drink, don't waste Our time or yours coming to the Investigation, You WILL be sent Home.
- We NEVER litter at the Investigation site, always leave the area the way you found it.
- If you are a Smoker, there will be assigned a designated place to Smoke, Do NOT Smoke while Investigating, Take a break away from the Investigating area.
- NEVER discuss the Investigation with the Client, We will Re-Schedule an appointment for the Revealing of the Evidence.
- The Lead Investigator will head up the Team, assign jobs, pair up the Teams, and collect the Evidence at the end of the Investigation, If the Lead Investigator can NOT be present for the Investigation, the Asst. Lead Investigator will assume this responsability.
- During the Interview and Walkthrough with the Client, If the Client does'nt mind, Record this meeting on Video or Recording Device, Preferably Video for the sake of Documentation.
- During the Walkthrough with the Client, the Lead Investigator, Asst. Lead Investigator, Case Manager, Equipment Tech, and a Cameraman should enter at this time, the other Invetigators will be informed about the Case afterwards.
- While trying to capture EVP's, Try to Remember to Announce your Location and Time, Ask your question and allow time for a responce, ask direct questions, and don't talk so much, don't whisper, talk in a normal tone of voice and don't hold the Recorder up to your Mouth, also, Do NOT RUB on the Recorder, or WALK while trying to Capture EVP's, the rubbing as well as the leaves that are crunching under your feet gets annoying during playback, just stop, ask your Questions, allow time for a responce before moving on.
- Always use good judgement, if you are investigating a small building, only send in a few investigators at a time, take turns.
- By all means, what ever job you are assigned to perform, do that job and don't try to do everything else, example, the Camera Crew will record the Investigating Team while they perform thier jobs, and NOT wander off doing something else.
- Always Remember, We are a Guest on or in someone elses Home, Business, and Property, So Please be and act Professional and respectful of the Clients posessions.
- Please! Don't Trespass, We don't want to jeopardize the COGS Team name by breaking Laws for the sake of a picture or two, also, If we had a good chance to Investigate a site, and a Member or Two of the Team were caught Trespassing, that would most likely blow any hopes of doing an Investigation of that Site for the Whole Team. It's just NOT worth it!
These Rules & Guidelines are for the Safety as well as the Professionalism of the Team, We are striving to offer only the Best to the Client, Each Member of the Team reflects on the whole Team, Also these Rules will be Enforced by all the Team Members.
